The new private hospital will not only contribute to the increase in the supply of health care services in Vilamoura and the surrounding areas but will also contribute to the economic and sustainable development of this region of Portugal creating around 250 new jobs in Algarve.

He further added that, “Hospital Lusíadas Vilamoura will reinforce the offer of health care in the most extensive and populous municipality in the Algarve and will make a contribution to the socio-economic development of the region, in a lasting, permanent and sustainable way”.
The CEO of Vilamoura World, João Brion Sanches, stated that, “this is an important step in the strategy that we have defined since the beginning of our mandate and whose mission is to make Vilamoura the best destination in the Algarve to live, spend holidays and invest”.
He further stated that “access to the best health care is essential for residents of Vilamoura and for all people who choose Vilamoura for their holidays. We are sure that this hospital will have a very positive impact on Vilamoura, complementing the services in the health area in a very professional way and providing Vilamoura with yet another infrastructure that makes it a unique destination in the Algarve and in the country”.
The private hospital will be led by Pedro Oliveira, CEO of the Lusíadas Algarve group. Furthermore, Hospital Lusíadas Vilamoura will be “the first hospital in the south of Portugal dedicated exclusively to outpatient surgery”.
